Hmm. Not a “Luke, you are my father” moment, but it comes off as… well, contrived. The screenwriters for the Transformers movie tried something similar with Optimus and Megatron (note Optimus’ “grief” at the end) and I guess the makers of the Joe movie want to try out some sort of Romulus/Remus thing.
