Photos: The James Bond Experience in Dezerland, Orlando

A couple of weeks back I went to Orlando for my quick 3-day-weekend getaway. The main point was to get out of the house – I’d been going stir crazy. I also had to head straight to the James Bond Experience at Dezerland. And I’m glad I did.

In case you did not know, Dezerland is an indoor themepark on International Drive in Orlando. Founded by multimillionaire Michael Dezer, He uses it as a home for his extensive car collection. It soft opened last summer, and one of the planned attractions was a James Bond museum. Well, it finally opened a couple of months back, and it was worth the wait.

A few years back She Who Must Be Obeyed and I visited the Bond in Motion exhibit in the UK. It had some amazing elements and was very polished. Lots of vehicles, but most were from the last decade and a half.

Not here.

This place has vehicles from every Bond film, TWO Aston Martin DB5s, and the freaking JET from the end of GOLDFINGER.

And yes, the Aston Martin V8 from Living Daylights is there, and it IS the legit one we see on screen. I lost my you-know-what.

And it also has a collectibles area that IMO has one of every item that has ever had the James Bond or 007 IP slapped on it. They even have a case dedicated to James Bond Jr.!

I was and am gobsmacked.

Here’s a video walkthrough.

And here’s a gallery of pics. A view to a kill, as it were.
