What are some reason’s “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” wouldn’t be considered the Beatles best album?

Because it isn’t. Revolver and Rubber Soul both have a better collection of songs. Rubber Soul inspired Brian Wilson to create Pet Sounds. Revolver was the first commercially popular “psychedelic” album. The reason I think many consider Sgt. Pepper’s the best Beatles album is because it is the one catalog title from the Beatles that EVERYONE bought, and continued to buy, for decades. It’s the Beatles’ Dark Side of the Moon: the seminal album. I don’t have any data, but I’d wager that Rubber Soul and Revolver also sold more singles of songs off each album than Sgt. Pepper’s did, as well.
