I heard this was coming out last year, thanks to the fan site (yes, a car driven by a fictional super-hero can have a fan site) 1966batmobile. com: a 1/18th scale replica of the original (accept no substitutes) Batmobile from Mattel.
If you could see into my home office right now, you would see a bookshelf full of fictional vehicles, from film and TV. It’s a hobby of mine, as I really admire the art direction and design that goes into some of these things (a particular favorite, of course, is the original Enterprise from Star Trek). So when I heard a nice-high quality Batmobile was on its way, my preorder was placed quicker than Frank Gorshin could overact when he was the Riddler.
