Finally, the BBC has cut a deal with an American network (in this case Sci-Fi) to show the upcoming series of Doctor Who within two weeks of the original broadcast in the UK (as opposed to the past three series which aired six months to a year AFTER the original airing, which led desperate fans like me to leverage a peer-to-peer online network that some of you may have heard of).
It’ll start in April, and the spin-off Sarah Jane Adventures will also start airing around the same time (Elizabeth Sladen is the main reason I married a brunette. Seriously).
This is probably old news to most of those reading this, but I just found out and I am thrilled. The press release is here.
