Wait… what? Universal cutting a deal with Hasbro for Stretch Armstrong, the movie?

Weird news of the day: Since Transformers made a boat-load of money, and the early buzz on G.I.Joe is very positive (both by Paramount),  Universal has cut a deal to license several other Hasbro toy properties, committing to four films.

The properties include “Monopoly,” “Candy Land,” “Clue,” “Ouija,” “Battleship,” “Magic, The Gathering” and “Stretch Armstrong.”

Clue (again)? Stretch Armstrong? Candy Land? Seriously?

They’re canceling Galactica, and making Candy Land: the Movie. The French are strange people….
