This Week in UX site launches, showcasing the latest news in user experience design and technology

Atlanta, GA July 24th 2012 — Showcasing the latest news and articles about user experience (UX) and interaction design, This Week in UX (http://www.thisweekinux.com) is the brainchild of Atlanta-based User Experience Architect Joseph Dickerson.

"It was originally a podcast," Dickerson explains. "Way back in 2010. But due to my work and travel schedule I was unable to maintain the 'weekly' aspect of the title, so I put the idea on the shelf for a while."

Dickerson revived the This Week in UX title in order to name his new site, just launched in June of 2012. "Every week I was discovering this rich content and articles about design, and so I decided to create a site to pull this great stuff together. It’s a great resource to design and technology professionals, whether they are aspiring UX students or executives who want to know what is going on in the domain.”

Dickerson, who also writes on UX topics at his personal blog (http://www.josephdickerson.com), cross-posts his design articles on the site on a regular basis, but linking to the work of other designers is the primary point of This Week in UX. "There's so much fantastic thought in this domain, I wanted to provide a one-stop shop for people in the profession to go."

Featured topics on This Week in UX are designing for mobile payments, how to do user research, and how advances in technology will change how users behave in the future.
Dickerson has authored several articles on design as well as a book on the topic, called Experience Matters: Essays, Tactics and Lessons in User Experience Design.

Depending on his other responsibilities, Dickerson may resume his This Week in UX podcast and use it to highlight some of the cover stories on his site, but time will tell. "I'm still busy, but with technology advancing and letting me get more done quicker... who knows?"

Fans can subscribe to the site via e-mail and will get updates when the latest stories are posted, and visitors also access a mobile version of the site on their smartphones. The site is powered by the Paper.li publishing platform.
