Happy 40th Birthday, Microsoft!

It’s been forty years since Paul Allen and Bill Gates incorporated a company to write software and an operating system for a then-young industry. In the four decades since computers have revolutionized how we work and live.

Two years ago I became a design lead at Microsoft. It was a “bucket list” item for me – I had been a fan of the company for many years, and I still remember the excitement I felt when I first installed an early beta of Windows 95. Both the company and myself have come a long way since then… And we both have had both good times and bad in our time on this earth. My hope is the best is yet to come… For both of us.
