From the 1979 Sears Wishbook… SPACE TOYS!

I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time looking through Christmas catalog scans on WishbookWeb.com this week… The nostalgia! The FEELS!

I’ll be sharing some of the pages scanned from the toy section over the next couple of weeks here… And I start with quite possibly the best catalog page of toys ever conceived, from 1979:

BEHOLD!

BIG TRAK! ROM! SIR GALAXY! KNOCKOFF DARTH VADER MASK! Holy crap, I want EVERYTHING on this page NOW, and I’m WAY past the age bracket these items are marketed to.

The highlight for me is ROM… I was a big fan of the comic book that the ROM toy inspired, but never had a ROM of my very own. Rumors are ROM is returning to comics in some capacity soon, and that’s awesome… But I want the toy to come back too! Let’s make that happen people.

Never had Big Trak either, though a neighbor did. I hated that kid.
