Photos from March 24th live The Hobbit web event

If you bought a copy of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on blu-ray a couple of weeks back, you will also have gotten a code inside that allowed you to access a live event yesterday. The one-hour preview was a roundtable interview and presentation focused on the next part in the new trilogy, The Desolation of Smaug, coming later this year. I was able to watch the event as it unfolded, and there were some great behind the scenes glimpses of the production. Director Peter Jackson had great fun answering questions from fans, former and present cast members, as well as an uber-geeky question from Stephen Colbert.

I took some screen shots of the event as it happened, and please find a sampling of those below.
