I love Hitchcock, and my favorite Hitch movie is North by Northwest. When you look at all that movie has going for it, well… words fail. I could put on my hyperbole hat and heap praise on it and rant on for a couple of hundred words, but there’s no need. If you’ve seen it, you know. And if you haven’t, well, what is wrong with you?
Whether you have seen it or not, the upcoming 50th Anniversary blu-ray of the film looks sensational. You get the first Hitchcock film ever released on blu-ray, fully remastered in a digibook format – plus you get two new documentaries made especially for this set (and just look at that gorgeous cover!). It’s out November 3rd, and my pre-order is being placed as soon as I post this. More details here.
