UPDATE: OK, I’ve had an hour to mull the design over and, on the whole, I like it. I understand they can’t put the original Matt Jeffries-designed Enterprise (from the original series) on the big screen, and they have to make something that looks sleeker and more streamlined than the Enterprise from Star Trek: The Motion Picture (which, of course, is supposed to be a refit of THIS ship… makes one’s brain hurt). I’d also like to see a full forward view and see it in action before I pass final judgement.
Have to say, though… that deflector dish on the secondary hull is sticking out WAY too much… Oh well…
