Another loss: Neal Hefti, rest in peace.

Man… the funk I have been in all day, temporarily lifted by the photos from the new Star Trek movie, has returned. Neal Hefti, who created the seminal theme (and score for the film) of The Odd Couple and who also created the classic Batman TV-show theme, has died. He was 85.
I can’t count how many time I have heard both themes, as the shows he scored were constant staples of my child- and adulthood. Hefti’s music always left me smiling and entertained. Rest in peace.
