Here is a great article on the remastering of all three Godfather movies, detailing all the work that has gone into the forthcoming release. As I mentioned before, if this will be released on blu-ray as well as DVD, then I will be picking up a blu-ray player the day it’s released.

What is amazing about the restoration is that, after seeing it in an actual theatre (from a print that was struck from the remaster), is just how clean and real everything looks. The authenticity of the period details and the incredible cinematography just shines. It’s fantastic.
